The transmitter heats up more at higher voltages. It is normal for the transmitter to heat up 60 degrees Celsius when being powered from a 12V source. For prolonged life it is recommended to use a heat sink or place the transmitter in an airflow. When bench testing the transmitter it's best to use a lower voltage.
